URGENT RECALL Boots dummies recalled due to fears they may be unsafe for babies

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]arents are being urged to discontinue using two types of baby soothers from Boots after the pharmacy chain found they could be faulty.

The retailer has issued an urgent recall for the dummies as a precautionary measure.

One of the soothers is designed from newborns to six-month-old babies.

The second one is designed for babies over six months.

They have also removed the products from sale in its stores and online.

Customers who purchased one of these products are advised to return them to a Boots store immediately for a refund or replacement.

Boots apologised to customers on its Facebook page.

It said: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to offer our reassurances that as soon as a fault was identified as part of our quality control process we immediately removed these lines from sale”.

But do not start throwing out every Boots dummy you own!

They also stated that “no other products are affected”.

Customers who have any further questions or concerns may call the Boots Customer Care team on 0800 915 0004 or speak to a member of staff in their local Boots store.

Last year, a mum warned fellow parents about the dangers of using a homemade clip on dummies.

She also claimed the decorative additions could result in choking, inhalation or ingestion.
